“On my recent trip to Sri Lanka, I was treated to a stay at Tea Trails one of the most magnificent properties I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Nestled in the rolling hills of a functioning tea plantation, five bungalows were set amongst sweeping lawns dotted with flowering roses and agapanthus.
Connected by buggy or tranquil walking trails, each bungalow had its own unique design, its own character and its own view. Sitting in the Dunkeld Bungalow and gazing out across the infinity pool towards the endless hills beyond, I sat and enjoyed the delights of a bygone era, content with high tea and lemon sponge cake.
The cuisine, whether it be Sri Lanken or Western, is Michelin Star-rated, all with full butler inclusiveness in the epitome of colonial luxury.
